So some friend ask: Is it hard to get into a school for interior design? and also some people replied that its not. All you have to do is think creatively and be unique. They teach you the rest, how to draw, how to draft floor plans (you'll be working with architects), how to coordinate colours, how to space plan, what kind of furniture there is, their history, fabrics, flooring.... every single aspect that comes along with interior design.... they teach you everything you need to know. I recommend the Art Institute if theres one in your state. They have a good ID program... 4 years for your bachelors unless you go during summers! Its great, and you still have all of the other basic subjects too..

Some other people just say why hard? Just go to university/school and take some classes. The difficult one is how to get a job. How to get to college is not so difficult for me as I am smart.
Judged from people's saying, I assume that get into interior design school is not so difficult. But, is it also that easy if we want to get into BEST and TOP interior design school? And also, how long will it be?

It will vary depending on the school and the type of degree. Some community colleges in the US have Two year programs, while schools like VCU have a four year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a two year Master of Fine Arts degree and focuses primarily on commercial Interior Design. An accredited program, through CIDA for instance, will typically be more rigorous than others.

Maybe yes, maybe nooo~~

Most interior designers that I know usually start off with an Associates Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in the field. By getting a degree and doing an internship, you show employers that you're a serious contender. Learning the basics of design in school, associating with people of like minds, and applying knowledge from what you learn, are some simple ways to become a decent interior designer.
