OnePlus One vs. Oppo R1x, Which One Should I Buy?

Back again. After a non-solution about Xiaomi Mi 4 vs. Sony Xperia Z1, now I'm back again to compare OnePlus One and Oppo R1x.

Same Things about OnePlus One and Oppo R1x

  1. Absolutely supports 4G LTE

  2. Same camera resolution (13 MP primary camera and 5 MP secondary camera)

  3. Each of them have a very great design (but not identical, they have each specialization which is for me both are excellent)

  4. Both brands begins with letter O

According to GSM Arena, Oppo R1x is way more pricey. But when I look to OnePlus' and Oppo's official web, for IDR currency, it doesn't vary much. And surprisingly OnePlus One is a little bit more expensive.

OnePlus One 64GB is IDR 4.498.999 (+ USD 344) while Oppo R1x is IDR 4.299.000 (+ USD 329). Price source: their official website today.

OnePlus One plus points

  1. How to say this, sand-y back panel? whatever it is, I love it.

  2. Bigger display and resolution (5.5 inches with 1080 x 1920 resolution)

  3. CyanogenMod!

  4. Only 1 Quad-core processor, but it's 2.5 GHz.

  5. 3 GB RAM (while R1x only has 2 GB RAM)

  6. Great 3100 mAh battery capacity (while R1x only 2420 mAh)

  7. I think it has better camera sensor and processor (SONY EXMOR IMX214 f/2.0 with 6 physical lens)

Oppo R1x plus points

  1. Newer release (January 2015)

  2. Thinner, lighter

  3. Sapphire crystal back panel

  4. Dual SIM

  5. External card slot

  6. Color OS UI

  7. Double quad core processor (which means it's octa core). Quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53. Is it faster?

In conclusion

They have quite features to impress me. Although Oppo R1x have some camera features (Pure Image 2.0, After Focus, and some fancy features like Fancy Exposure) to counterbalance OnePlus One's camera lens, I think it will not be enough. Why? Because its features only exists in software (which can be tweaked, or install some apps that have Fancy Exposure in OnePlus One), not hardware like lens —which can't be changed I guess.

OnePlus One also have greater RAM and bigger battery capacity —which really matters to me, although it don't have external memory storage. If only Oppo R1x have a bigger battery capacity, I'll think twice (again, just like previous comparison between Mi 4 and Z1).

Thus, I think I'll go with OnePlus One 64GB *breaks piggy bank*.

Maybe.

If my piggy bank had that amount of money.

I'm poor, you know.

Or if I found better phone. Maybe I will wait a little more, I heard that OnePlus One was having some negative reviews out there and Asus Zenfone 2 now is the biggest sensation in town. Oh my god, this has just returned to be another post with no decision made :( :( :(

dear phone vendors, y u no let me find the right phone peacefully?

confusion, confusion everywhere.
