Futurama was a much beloved animated series that was canceled before its time. Thankfully, it was resurrected a few years ago by Comedy Central and got a few more seasons with a proper finale in 2013. The franchise isn’t dead yet, though. Fox and game developer Wooga are teaming up to make a Futurama mobile game calledFuturama: Game of Drones. The poster for the game says “Release the Drones” for some reason, which is much less clever.
According to the press release, the Futurama game will be designed by Dave Grossman, who wrote Sam and Max, The Wolf Among Us,and Telltale Games’ Tales of Monkey Island. He’ll work with formerFuturama producer and writer Patric Verrone, who wrote some of the series’ iconic episodes including The Problem with Popplers.
